Fostering a Culture of Inclusion in Evangelization & Catechesis
Fostering a Culture of Inclusion in Evangelization & Catechesis
Human diversity is of great importance for evangelization and catechesis. In Baptism, we become equal in dignity as necessary members of the Body of Christ and all persons, however limited, are capable of growth in holiness. Persons with disabilities, and their families, seek to be included in the full life of the Church. God’s vision of love calls us to bring about this reality. Come explore ways faith communities and the faithful can foster a culture of inclusion so that all members of the Body of Christ can live a sacramental life!

Formation of Catechists and Catechetical Leaders
Formation of Catechists and Catechetical Leaders
In this webinar, Katie Diltz, Associate Director of Echo in the McGrath Institute for Church Life at the University of Notre Dame, proposes a program of formation for catechists and catechetical leaders. Based on the dimensions of formation named in the Directory and on her work forming catechetical leaders in the McGrath Institute’s Echo program, Katie helps participants identify key components to incorporate in their respective formation plans in order to help each catechist and catechetical leader to “take shape, which means unveiling his [or her] deepest identity which is that of being a son [or daughter] of God in profound communion with [others]” (Directory for Catechesis, 130).
